Gerald Mosse is the one to beat in the Jockey Challenge, but Zac Purton will be ready to swoop if the Frenchman falters and looms as the value despite only having six rides.

Mosse was a $3 favourite last night courtesy of seven rides, including at least four winning hopes. Purton's odds could even get longer than the $7.50 quoted, as he only has one ride in the first three races. He finishes the programme with a flourish, combining with Goodview Successor, Noble Conqueror and Groovy in the last three events.
