Natural wonders

Jewellery line Niin was launched in 2005 in London by Jeanine Hsu. Today, Hsu is based in Hong Kong, and we have fallen in love with her latest Azteca line. The Azteca necklace (below; HK$2,700), made of wood, stone and abalone shell inlaid with brass, is the focal point of the collection. We also love the clutch made from inlaid shell, off-cut wood and brass (far right; HK$8,000), and the Raw Rock blue lace agate gold-plated necklace (right; HK$2,800). Niin jewellery is available at 43 Wyndham Street, Central, tel: 2878 8811.

Gucci's latest Aquariva resort collection offers clean lines and strong patterns, with a look that is polished and fresh. The formal navy and orange patterned mini dress (far right; HK$14,980) would make a stunning statement in the boardroom. For something more fun, there's the gold jacket (HK$16,900), white sheer top (HK$6,480) and mini skirt (all right; HK$6,400). Gucci is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 2524 4492.

Inspired by the romance of the Victorian era, Singapore-born Prabal Gurung has created a line full of drama. The startling silhouette of the deep red dress (HK$42,318) is a show-stopper, and the designer's talent for shape and tailoring comes to the fore with his feathered white top (far left; HK$14,350). Prabal Gurung is available at Harvey Nichols, Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2526 7714.
