All's well that ends well as Angland makes amends on unlucky ride
Tye Angland had some merit points to make up with trainer Andreas Schutz after unluckily missing victory on Blessing in the second race, but he went a long way to repairing things by conjuring a second win out of all-weather specialist Golden Treasure. Angland was held up inside runners on Blessing before launching a late bid that just failed, and he probably had to go where he feared the worst on Golden Treasure, too, when he had no option but to make his run up the inside of runners. This time, there was a happier ending. 'He doesn't like to be squeezed up between horses but they opened up on the inside and, once he was in the daylight, he really hit the line,' Angland said.
