Gymnasts reach London

Hong Kong scored a double success after two of its gymnasts qualified for this summer's Olympic Games.

Angel Wong Hiu-ying did just enough to claim one of 34 spaces for individual gymnasts - despite a poor finish in the women's all-around competition in the test event at North Greenwich Arena in London. Wong, 24, who won bronze in the vault at the World University Games in Shenzhen last summer, scored 49.466 for her four routines, placing her 59th out of 96 competitors.

'I'm very happy,' she said after confirming her place with teammate Shek Wai-hung, who qualified in the men's all-around on Tuesday. It is the first time Hong Kong gymnasts have qualified for any Olympics.
