Victoria Harbour has been abused for decades, but the opening of the new Maritime Museum marks a softening of the government's attitude towards it. Nevertheless, writes Stuart Heaver, the battle...
To celebrate the opening of its new flagship store in Tsim Sha Tsui, American fashion brand Coach not only featured a bevy of models but also a hired fleet of flashy Coach-themed Mini Coopers.
The brand hosted two events on Friday - an afternoon press conference to showcase its new collection at the Whisk restaurant in The Mira hotel, and a soir?e at the 4,008 sq ft shop nearby on Nathan Road.
Celebrities including singer-actor Richie Jen Hsien-chi, television actor Bosco Wong Chung-chak and model-actress Janice Man Wing-shan lent their star power to both events.
Instead of the usual limousines, the A-listers arrived in the cute Mini cars - and Jen even pulled up at the evening engagement behind the wheel.
At the soir?e, a video produced by local photographer Wing Shya was shown, while British electronic cellists, percussionists and DJ Stef:funn provided live entertainment.
Actress Man, however, who showed up in an all-black ensemble, was more interested in queueing up at the photo booth for a party snapshot.
