A slimmer Moses Chan recounts orders to start the new year by regaining his 'heavenly' figure

Kowloon Tong's Festival Walk is the latest shopping mall marking the Year of the Dragon, and hoping that it will get off to a flying start. The mall's festive decorations this year are all about Chinese calligraphy.

TVB actor Moses Chan Ho and models Christine Yeung Ding-ding and Marina Vorobeva attended the opening of the mall's 'Blessings of the Flying Dragon' - a Lunar New Year promotion featuring gift redemptions, dragon and lion dance performances, and a dragon dance competition.

The trio kicked off the event by parading auspicious banners, before penning the Chinese character lung - for 'dragon' - in calligraphy styles from three different dynasties.

Chan obviously lost weight recently. 'I've lost six pounds [2.7kg] - on the orders of people around me who wanted to see the cooler me as seen in [the drama] When Heaven Burns. I've been careful about my diet - no deep-fried or fatty foods,' Chan said at Monday's event.

Having to miss out on Lunar New Year treats such as pan-fried turnip cake and various sweet delicacies is too bad. Chan might be better off taking a break, while also joining one of the physically demanding dragon dances.
