Creams are great for any guys' hairstyle. When used on wet hair, they give you a sleek look with shine. When used on dry hair, they mould and hold your hair in place in a more natural way

L'Oreal Professionel Playball Deviation Paste (HK$152/100ml)

The paste is perfect for people with short, dry hair, but not so good for oily types. Holds style strongly and gives a nice matt finish.

DHC for MEN Hair Design Wax (HK$79/50g)

The wax is shiny and durable and just a dab will give you a short, spiky hairstyle. But the extra shine is a bit much for guys who have longer hair. The slightly artificial strawberry smell goes once the wax is on your hair.

Aveda Men Pure-formance Grooming Cream (HK$250/125ml)

The grooming cream works very well with short to medium-length hair. It only takes a small dab to give your hair a natural look that lasts an entire day, rather than that greasy, wet look you can get from gel. It also smells great thanks to the citrus and lavender.

Gatsby Moving Rubber Spiky Edge (HK$52/80g)

More of a liquid than a paste, it does a decent job of locking in your style without leaving a sticky residue behind. The slight plastic smell may be a turn-off for some.

Dr Morita Super Hard Ivpe Styling Wax (HK$45/100g)

Good value for money; a little bit goes a long way. It gives good hold with a natural look and the smell is not too overpowering.
