For I.T, dragon year's all about the rabbit

Local fashion brand I.T has hopped to it to reveal a new collection featuring cutesy bunny My Melody.

The range of 20-plus styles and accessories featuring the bunny character - brought to you by Sanrio, the Japanese company behind Hello Kitty - was launched on Tuesday at its flagship store in Causeway Bay.

It is a collaboration between Sanrio, its affiliated casual wear label b + ab, and Japanese brand Mercibeaucoup.

Guest of honour, Canto-pop singer Kary Ng Yu-fei, wore a denim shirt dress with bunny heads for pockets, and posed enthusiastically for the cameras in the brand's colourful child-like outfits.

The fashionista even gave style tips and advice on putting together a rabbit-themed collection.

Perhaps she was making up for being late to the launch.

'No, no, it's not post-holiday syndrome,' Ng says.

'I actually woke up really early today and went to the salon to get my hair dyed. But unfortunately it took a bit longer than I thought.'

Hang on a minute - a bunny collection in the Year of the Dragon? Looks like it wasn't just Ng who was fashionably late.
