So adaptable is impressive three-year-old Best Eleven, he could win on snow, a jubilant Tony Cruz claimed after the horse's narrow all-weather track win. Hitting the dirt for the first time wasn't a problem for the youngster, who overcame a tough run in transit and take his record to four wins from eight starts. 'No matter what going, whether it's rain, snow or shine, wet or sand or whatever, he'll run,' Cruz said. 'He is an all- round horse, he can handle any going.' Yesterday's meeting marked the last in Maxime Guyon's controversial stint and he went out a winner on Best Eleven, but it was perhaps fitting that he was three-deep for the trip, a position he has found himself in often.
