More rent increases in store for retailers

Rents for shops in prime locations will rise by 15 per cent this year, following a 32 per cent increase in 2011, property consultant Savills predicts. Big leap in sales of second-hand homes

Optimism in the second-hand homes market is at its highest in 21 weeks, an index compiled by Ricacorp Properties shows. Some 210 homes were sold in its sample of 50 housing estates in the week to February 5, compared to just 63 the week before. Peggy Sito
