What watch do you buy when your girlfriend's a fashion queen?
Every year around Valentine's Day, male celebrities are hounded by reporters with one question: 'Have you figured out what to get your sweetheart yet?' Andy On Chi-kit stepped right in front of the firing squad at a charity auction launch at the Tissot boutique at The One in Tsim Sha Tsui on Wednesday.
Since the occasion marked the launch of a limited edition watch for charity, On was asked if he would consider buying girlfriend Jennifer Tse Ting-ting a timepiece for V-day. With sweat beading on his forehead, the actor said that he didn't know much about women's watch styles, plus 'Jennifer is a fashion queen, so I daren't make such important decisions for her'.
Fellow special guest Sonija Kwok Sin-nei had other concerns on her mind. The expectant mother, who married martial arts choreographer Zhu Shaojie last year, is looking forward to the June birthday of a dragon daughter. At five months, her bump is beginning to show, but she insists she will still be making appearances - until she gets too big for high heels, that is.
'It's good to be able to get out of the house, it gets boring otherwise,' Kwok said. 'My husband is totally fine with it all, provided that I stop jumping around and jostling the baby. I can get a little hyper sometimes.'
