Jockey Jeff Lloyd described drawing barrier 14 as 'a blessing in disguise' after he rode the David Ferraris-trained veteran Fleet Command cold and then swooped late to score in a Class Two over 1,400m. The seven-year-old has a low strike rate of three victories from 38, but showed what he can do in a race run in sharp sectionals. 'The horse can over race, so David just said to me to drop him back,' Lloyd said. 'We know he has got a good turn of foot when he settles properly. Maybe it was a blessing where he was drawn, he ended up three-wide with cover and travelled very kindly. He let down like he can. Sometimes from a good draw, you place him where you want and he over races,' the jockey added.
