Douglas Whyte will again start favourite in the Jockey Challenge tonight, but it is lightweight Mark Du Plessis providing the value bet with a solid group of rides.

With seven rides all likely to start single figure odds, Whyte will be hard to beat and was $2.60 last night, but Du Plessis should open the night at a backable quote in Jockey Challenge betting. Du Plessis was rated an $11 chance with a seven-ride book, the best of whom look to be the David Hall-trained King Pendragon in race five, Sonofthewest in race two and Flora Danica in race seven.
