Dad's the only one who's been sending Annie Liu flowers on February 14
Surprisingly, Taiwan-born, Hong Kong-based actress Annie Liu Xin-you said she hadn't received any flowers from admirers on Valentine's Day for 'a long time'.
'Seriously, it's been a while,' Liu said on Monday while promoting local casual-wear brand b+ab's Rouge Collection at the I.T store on Hysan Road, Causeway Bay.
She showed up for the launch event dressed head to toe in the Parisian-chic-inspired collection. A fan surprised the actress by handing her a bouquet of flowers on the stage.
'I mean, work aside, I don't have a lot of people sending me flowers,' she said. 'My dad used to say he'd always give me flowers if I received nothing on Valentine's Day, and he's been doing that for quite a while.'
This year, she had made plans to fly to Taiwan to spend Valentine's Day with her mother.
'I'm more focused on my career this year. Also, I want to spend more quality time with my parents. We've made plans to travel more this year,' she said.
