As it did four years ago, jewellery house Qeelin has created a special charm in honour of the Olympic Games, which will be held, in case you did not already know, in London this year. Only 88 pieces of the 'Champion Bobo' charm have been produced, and each teddy bear sports a gold medal, is studded with 627 diamonds in black, white, rubies and sapphires, and it features the Union Jack on its tummy.

Instead of booking high-heeled models to present the novelties, the media preview on Thursday was a laid-back afternoon tea gathering at The Bar in The Peninsula in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Two spa ladies pampered guests with a hand massage, while a tarot reader kept guests entertained. The signature afternoon tea set also had its own twist. There were panda-shaped chocolates, and sweets inspired by Qeelin's Ling Long collection.

Another eye-catching new member of the collection is the Bobo clutch. A showcase of the brand's artistic director Dennis Chan's playfulness, it is studded with over 3,000 pieces of crystal and can be popped open to reveal a space for holding small items.
