All tangled up in love

Love is a romantic comedy about love and all its connected emotions. The plot swings between Taiwan and Beijing, revealing complex lives intertwined by blood, friendship and love.

Ni (Amber Kuo) seems to live the perfect life. Her family is rich, and she is in a happy relationship with her boyfriend Kai (Eddie Peng Yu-yan). That is, until she finds out her best friend Yi Jia (Chen Yu-han) had a one-night stand with Kai and is now pregnant with his child. This leaves Ni confused: the two people closest to her have betrayed her.

Her perfect life begins to spin out of control.

Meanwhile, Ni's father, Lu ('Doze' Niu Chen-zer, also the director), lives a glamorous life with his movie-star girlfriend Zoe (Shu Qi), who is an inwardly lonely person. Zoe begins to fall for another man, Kuan (Ethan Ruan), who happens to be Yi Jia's brother.

Mark (Mark Chao) is Lu's business partner. He dreams of buying a house in Beijing - similar to the one his now-deceased father owned in Taipei. That leads him to real estate agent and single mother Xiao Ye (Vicki Zhao), who does not quite fit the profile of the women he is used to dating. Nevertheless, he develops feelings for her and her son.
