The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (III)
David Fincher's suspense-thriller take on the late Stieg Larsson's crime novel about an odd couple's investigation into the truth behind the disappearance of a teenager along with a string of serial murders that took place in Sweden in the 1950s and 60s. Starring Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig.   CT

Selection of eight short films including: Julian Peedle-Calloo's 5 Needles, about a group of deaf Jewish women who were made to work in a sewing factory in Nazi Germany and told that if they lose five needles, they  will die (in English and British Sign Language with Chinese and English subtitles); and Melissa Mostyn-Thomas' CODA, about the love between a deaf single mother and her hearing daughter (in English and British Sign Language with Chinese and English subtitles). Selection of 10 short animated films including: Braam Jordaan's Sipho, featuring the mascot of the XVI World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf in Durban, South Africa (In English and International Sign Language with English and Chinese subtitles); and Lazaro Contreras' Deaf Mute Country Girl, centring on an unemployed, deaf and mute woman who returns to her country home to take care of her alcoholic father (in Spanish Sign Language with Chinese and English subtitles). Selection of eight short films including: Alexander Genievsky's The Gift, about the relationship between a deaf dancer and a hearing musician called Iron (in English and American Sign Language with Chinese and English subtitles); and Anne Laura Raymond's The Park, in which a gay man out cruising in a park comes across a cute deaf guy hanging  with his girlfriend (in English and Malaysian Sign Language with Chinese and English subtitles). Programme 6: DeafBlind and Deaf Athletics - When Deafness Meets Blindness and Sports
Selection of six short films including: Super DeafBlind Student, an episode from Listening Eye, Public Television Service Taiwan's documentary series, about the life of a Taiwanese deaf-blind student Liu Yu-ling (in Mandarin and Taiwanese sign language with Chinese and English subtitles); and Jenny Lam's Run for My Dream, which shows the co-operation that takes place between the deaf and blind runners in a marathon team (in Cantonese and Hong Kong Sign Language with Chinese and English subtitles).
