To celebrate its 141st anniversary, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals chose a 'Red Night' theme for its annual charity dinner in the ballroom of the InterContinental Hong Kong hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Guests, including Chief Secretary Stephen Lam Sui-lung, followed the dress code and turned up in red outfits instead of their usual black attire for Friday's dinner.

Group vice-chairwoman Viola Chan Man Yee-wai said the colour represented the 'enthusiastic and innovative philanthropic spirit of Tung Wah'.

Guests were entertained with a song and dance performance by veteran Canto-pop brothers Andrew and Peter Cheung. Models cruised down a runway in Valentino's latest spring-summer collection.

The charity raised more than HK$2 million at the soir?e to support the welfare services it provides for the needy.
