Bomb scare at Russian consulate closes road
A bomb scare closed Harbour Road, Wan Chai, outside the Sun Hung Kai Centre yesterday after fears were raised about a bag addressed to the Russian consulate that contained an offensive message for Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Bomb and anti-terrorist officers investigated the package - delivered to the building's management office on Saturday night, the eve of yesterday's presidential election - and found it to be safe.
Passenger on plane held for sexual assault
Airport police arrested a 39-year-old passenger after a 65-year-old woman reported during the flight that she had been sexually assaulted. The man was being held in custody for further investigation, police said.
