City history and attractions just a stone's throw away

Anyone with an interest in London - its history, variety and wealth of opportunities - will appreciate that the best place to be is at the heart of the city.

Red Lion Court is located right there, minutes away from St Paul's Cathedral and a stone's throw from Covent Garden, Covent Garden Coliseum and The Savoy Hotel, and many of the sights and sounds that either conjure up the city's past or continue to make it one of the world's great centres of commerce and learning.

'This is a unique development in a secluded courtyard set amid some of London's principal barristers' chambers and most historic buildings,' says Tim Wright, director - residential, at Jones Lang LaSalle.

'It is a prime 'Zone 1' location and a great area for letting, readily accessible from either Fleet Street or West Harding Street off Fetter Lane.'

Indeed, much can be found within a radius of just a few hundred metres. For example, those familiar with the workings of London's legal scene will recognise the Old Bailey, the Royal Courts of Justice and the Grand Temple Building clustered around garden courtyards and leading down to the River Thames.

The nearby shops, bars, cafes and restaurants cater to almost every taste, with stories from some of the traditional local taverns written into the pages of history and literature. And the proximity of venues such as the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre makes getting home simplicity itself after the performance.

'The Tate Modern gallery and other attractions in the South Bank arts complex are within convenient walking distance,' Wright says. 'For students, it would take no more than 10 minutes to get to lectures at the London School of Economics or the King's College Strand campus.'

With three underground stations - Chancery Lane, Temple and Blackfriars - on the doorstep, Red Lion Court residents can feel close to the hub of London's entire transport system. Trips to stops in the City financial district take little more than five minutes, to the West End is about 10 minutes, and Knightsbridge is about a quarter of an hour away.

Similarly fast and efficient connections to all the main line rail stations and airports take much of the hassle out of arranging local or international travel.

'Given that this is central London, you know there will be a lot to enjoy,' Wright says. 'But the development is also ideally placed for corporate and executive rentals.'
