Dress to impress

We love the easy cuts of Swiss label Bally's resort collection. The phoenix-print sweatshirt dress (below right; HK$10,990) with a detachable leather skirt makes for a bright and breezy look, whereas the sleeveless dress with printed front panel (below left; HK$11,490) is a sophisticated look for the office. Bally is at Times Square, Causeway Bay, tel: 2506 3312

Rock stars

Unleash your inner rock chick with Balmain's fitted black leather jacket (left; HK$82,050) with multiple zips, !or take note of this season's tribal trend with an embroidered native American-style clutch (below; HK$24,750). Balmain is available at Maria Luisa, Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay, tel: 2907 2028.

Soft spot

Despite its well-received ready-to-wear lines, British label Mulberry is still beloved for bags. The new Harriet range features a briefcase-style clasp, great textures and roomy shapes channelling uptown style. We rate the summer khaki satchel in ostrich (below right; HK$48,000) and the spongy patent version in nightshade blue (below left; HK$12,000). The shoulder bag in beige patent leather (bottom; HK$9,550) is another favourite. Mulberry is in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2956 0830.

Get framed

The characteristic kooky vintage look has translated well to Marni's range of eyewear. These interestingly shaped frames are rounded at the bottom and edged at the top, and come in earthy brown, purple stripes and a fishnet lattice effect (all left; HK$3,200 a pair). Marni is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 2288.
