Students short of sleep
Alice Yanin Shanghai
SHANGHAI - Students in primary and secondary schools on the mainland get too little sleep, experts warned. They said this will slow the children's growth and can make them overweight.
Speaking at a conference on sleep this week, the doctors blamed too much homework and the need to go to school too early. A survey of more than 30,000 youngsters under the age of 18 in nine mainland cities found that 70 per cent did not get enough sleep.
