Deep and meaningful

Packing tape is good for packing boxes and holding things together, but for American street artist Mark Jenkins, it is a flexible material to create one-of-a-kind clear tape sculptures.

Once he's done with a piece, he leaves it on the street because he wants to turn the street into a stage as people interact around his sculptures.

New trend on the web

Attack Of The CuteIt's easy to understand why people are attracted to photo blogs. They're easy to go through, there's minimal reading involved, and they have plenty of things for you to click to get you through hours of boredom. So get ready to add another one to the bookmark list on your computer.

As its name suggests, Attack Of The Cute is dedicated to all things cute and cuddly. There are tonnes of photos of animals doing all sorts of adorable things. You get your usual kittens, puppies, cats and dogs. But there are also appearances by pandas, pigs, turtles, hedgehogs and even raccoons. Besides the main page, there is also a section which pits two photos against each other and invites you to vote for the cutest.

You can submit pictures or videos of your own pets being cute to be considered for posting on the site. You might think all that cuteness would be sickening, but you'll soon be addicted after clicking through several pages.

In other news ...

With director James Cameron's recent diving trip to the Mariana Trench, the re-release of Titanic in 3D next week, and the 100th anniversary of that vessel's sinking on April 15, it seems Titanic has risen in our minds again. To commemorate the anniversary, The History Press, a British publisher, has opened a Twitter account (@TitanicRealTime) which features 'live' tweets from the boat's captain, crew and other staff, as if Twitter were around in 1912.

The account has been active since March, but up to now, the tweets have been about the ship's preparation. The fateful journey doesn't occur until April 10, 1912. This is definitely one of the more interesting feeds to follow and helps explore history in another light. http://www.twitter.com/TitanicRealTime
