Flowers are in bloom, pastel-coloured dresses can be seen on the streets and the days are sunnier and warmer - it must be spring!

Here, nail artist Nadia Cheung Pak-lam celebrates the season by turning plain nails into mini works of art. If it's spring, it must be time for lovely bunnies and Easter eggs.

What you'll need:

Base and top coat

Bubblegum-pink nail polish

Acrylic paint

Toothpick or bobby pin

Blu-Tack

Very fine paintbrush

Wooden rod

Set of plastic nails

Steps:

1 Make sure your own nails are buffed, filed nicely and not bitten.

2 Give your own nails two layers of base coat. It strengthens the nail and gives it a better finish.

3 Stick a fake nail to the wooden rod with Blu Tack. Apply two thin, even coats of bubblegum-pink nail polish.

4 With a fine paintbrush, draw a white bunny with pink ears.

5 Switch to a toothpick and give the bunny a pair of black eyes.

6 Fill in the background with colourful dots.

7 After the polish dries, paint over it with a clear top coat to seal your hard work and make it last longer.

8 You could also paint Easter eggs and chicks. Apply the nails in time for Easter!
