Prebble goes against instructions, but gets the job done well
The newest team in town struck again when Brett Prebble won the SKOL Cup (1,200m) on Final Answer for John Moore, but he was wondering mid-race what kind of reception he might get if he didn't get home first. 'John's away at the sales in Sydney and I've gone to the front, against my instructions - wouldn't have been a great look if he didn't win,' Prebble said after the five-year-old led from pillar to post in the all-weather sprint. 'He's been having no luck trying to get in behind for cover and getting stuck out wide, and I thought he might just appreciate something uncomplicated. He got there pretty easily and still did a good job for a horse who isn't that big and carrying 133 pounds.'
