Model makes sure husband and in-laws step out in style
Now that Marie Zhuge Ziqi is happily married, the model shops not just for herself, but also for businessman husband Ernie Suek Ka-lun and her in-laws.
Appearing at a shop opening for Danish footwear brand Ecco on Tuesday at Sha Tin New Town Plaza, she said she had recently bought shoes for her loved ones.
Zhuge partnered with up-and-coming TVB actor Nathan Ngai to model the Nordic brand's spring-summer collection. Ngai, who played a wheelchair-bound patient in TVB's popular medical drama, On Call 36 Hours, said that since he spent long hours sitting in a wheelchair on set, he appreciated a good pair of walking shoes when he was off-duty.
Ecco gave Zhuge a pair of women's golf shoes as a thank-you gift. She said her husband was also a fan of the brand's golf shoes and they could now wear matching styles. The couple match more than just shoes to demonstrate their love for each other. Zhuge said they had also worn matching T-shirts. 'We had T-shirts of my favourite cartoon figure, Anpanman, in similar styles. It's cute and pretty.'
