Latest telecom and digital products take centre stage
As Asia's premier trade event, linking buyers with information and communications technology products and service providers, the International ICT Expo will showcase the latest innovations in multimedia, the internet, telecommunications, digital entertainment and more.
Companies from Australia, Canada, the mainland, India and Taiwan will host pavilions, while new participants from Japan and Malaysia will demonstrate solutions.
Two new zones - Business Applications on Cloud and Mobile, and Mobile Marketing - will also be among the highlights.
Featured products in the Mobile Marketing Zone include AvailaSoft Corporation's mobile app for learning English. AS Daily English is designed specifically for Hong Kong residents and provides daily updates for children and adults looking to improve their English skills.
Other themed zones include Cloud Computing and Open Source, Digital Living and Multimedia, Smartphones and Tablets, and Homegrown Innovations, featuring new and original products from the Chinese University, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI).
ASTRI's products range from an optical multitouch panel with intelligent audience analysis to a portable projector with 2-D and 3-D modes that can run for several thousand hours when using LED light sources.
0101Host, one of the largest web-hosting companies and the first Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers-accredited domain registrar in Hong Kong, will showcase its Virtual Asset Management hosting solution.
The one-stop management service allows companies to manage critical company assets, including website security management, domain auditing, e-mail archiving and website online marketing.
'Virtual Asset Management is a pioneer concept in the industry,' says Alfred Mak, CEO of 0101Host. 'Compared with other monitoring products in the industry, 0101HOST provides one-stop, third-party full-management solutions to SMEs [small and medium-sized enterprises].'
Industry experts will also host a range of forums and seminars covering trends and topics such as ICT solutions, cloud and mobile application opportunities, cloud computing trends on the mainland and e-commerce.
Other highlights of the four-day event include the popular SME IT Clinic and the China Outstanding Software Product Awards 2011 (HK Section) presentation ceremony.
