Prebble can make hay with Moore on his side
With John Moore's retained rider Darren Beadman sidelined indefinitely, Brett Prebble has formed a deadly combination with the stable and the run could continue today at Happy Valley.
The Australian has a full book of 10 rides for five different trainers, but a trio of likely favourites for Moore can form the backbone of Jockey Challenge success.
Prebble has ridden three winners out of his last four rides for Moore, starting with Admiration in the Chairman's Trophy two weeks ago, plus two consecutive placings before that.
Today he rides Our Dynasty, Elegance Klammer and Military Attack for Moore - all of them great winning chances.
He also teams up with a couple of regular collaborators in Caspar Fownes (Heart Of Grace and Windicator Power) and David Hall (Eastern Promise), with two rides each for Danny Shum Chap-shing (Hei Hei Posh and Turf Magic) and Manfred Man Ka-leung (Mister Horse and Depot Boy).
Adding to Prebble's chances is the absence of arch nemesis Douglas Whyte, who is serving the first half of a two-meeting suspension.
While Prebble's odds last night of $1.90 weren't generous, he might get out to a better quote if early chances don't arrive and jumping on before race four or five could provide some value.
