Actor Louis Koo turns Mr Kool with cocktail for big day at races

If you've had your fill of beer and wine on race days, how about a cocktail for a change? One shaken by actor Louis Koo Tin-lok, perhaps?

The star has created a gin-based cocktail called Mr Kool especially for the Audemars Piguet QEII Cup taking place at Sha Tin racecourse on April 29. The cocktail will be on sale throughout the race meeting.

Koo showed off his mixing skills on Thursday at a press conference at Happy Valley racecourse to announce the event. 'I love having a good cocktail with friends. Mr Kool's vibrant colour [orange] represents the winning spirit of the racers,' he said.

Koo will be joined on race day by models Mandy Lieu, Carrie Lam and Tracy Ip Chui-chui to showcase the latest Audemars Piguet watches.

'My dad is a big horse racing fan,' he said. 'So I hope I can have my own horse one day. My dad would be very proud.'

Currently filming on the mainland, Koo had to return to the set after finishing the promotion. The actor said his love of horses also came from working with them.

'I've ridden horses in films. They are very smart animals and it takes patience and care to make friends with them.'
