Gold standard

Spanish luxury brand Loewe is a master of exquisite handbags and the label's new Oro collection is no exception. With creative director Stuart Vevers at the helm, Oro is celebrating the charming honey-beige hue of the Spanish countryside. We love the calf leather Luna bag (below right: HK$11,900) with a magenta strap, and the calf leather pouch (right: HK$3,150). The piece de resistance, however, is the Oro Amazona (far right: HK$21,850), a signature style that has become a Loewe classic. Loewe is at Times Square, Causeway Bay, tel: 2777 8988

Flash of fancy

The Velocity collection by English jeweller Boodles is a refreshing twist to everyday jewellery. Elongated shapes look casual yet elegant, as illustrated by the white-gold necklace with two diamond-covered 'torpedo' pendants (far right: HK$53,000). We also like the pav? ring in white gold (right: HK$54,000) for an interesting take on the diamond ring. Boodles is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388.

Dressed to kill

Christian Louboutin's spring-summer collection is all about contrasts and extremes, and the result is a mishmash of bright colours, crystals, spikes and even Bollywood influences. We are going gaga for the stunning new version of the Daffodile shoe: the python stiletto in green (left: HK$16,000). For a hard-core summer sandal, we like the gold, spiky Lady Max (far left: HK$12,500). Christian Louboutin is at 7 On Lan Street, Central, tel: 2118 0016.

Fit to print

Marni has always been one of our favourite Italian labels, with designer Consuela Castigioni having nailed quirky prints and flattering shapes. A perfect look for summer is the green two-piece ensemble (left: top HK$8,200; flared skirt HK$10,500) with sheer socks (HK$390) and black strappy sandals (HK$5,600). For a bolder 1960s vibe, there's the abstract floral print set in black, red and white (far left: top HK$6,500; skirt HK$6,900). Marni is at the Landmark, Central, tel: 2845 7632.
