Howard Shaw
The grandson of Runme Shaw - who founded the Shaw Organisation with brother Run Run Shaw - was charged in Singapore for having paid sex with an under-age prostitute. Shaw, 41, and 47 others, including former UBS executive Juerg Buergin, 40, allegedly paid S$450 to S$750 (HK$2,800 to HK$4,700) for each encounter with the prostitute, according to The Straits Times. Shaw and Buergin will face court again on June 18.

Spain's king, and honorary president of its WWF branch, apologised for his secret hunting trip to southern Africa to shoot elephants. It came to light when he was flown home from Botswana after fracturing his hip in a fall.

The Election Committee members were named in a Macau corruption case involving jailed former secretary for transport and public works Ao Man-long (left), who is accused of taking at least HK$20 million and 7.3 million patacas in bribes. The Macau court heard that Lau and Lo won the tenders with Ao's interference. BMA Investment chairman Lo denied having breached any law. Chinese Estates Holdings chairman Lau has yet to comment.
