O'Sullivan safe for next season on a mixed day of fortunes
Paul O'Sullivan landed his 13th winner for the season to guarantee himself a job for next term, but Cai Bao In's victory was just the sweet half of a sweet and sour day with International sale horses for the New Zealander. Earlier in the day, the 2011 sale topper at HK$7.5 million, Celestialblessings, resumed from six months out with a suspensory ligament injury only to suffer a bleeding attack in race two. Cai Bao In (Zac Purton) was the joint third top-priced horse at the same sale, for HK$6 million, but has managed to post two wins, and with more to come. 'I'm hoping that he could progress to something like the Queen Mother's Cup at the back end of next season over 2,400m,' O'Sullivan said.
