Cheerful Double took the rise from Class Five to Class Four in his stride to post back-to-back Sha Tin mile wins and trainer Dennis Yip Chor-hong said the turnaround in form has been apparent in the five-year-old's demeanour. 'For a long time, he was very nervous and always sweated a lot but he has improved lately,' Yip said after Alvin Ng Ka-chun steered the five-year-old to his third win for the term. 'This was probably the first time he walked into the parade ring and wasn't sweating.' And he paid credit to Ng's ride. 'Alvin followed instructions perfectly - sometimes, I worry he will push the horse too much early and then they overrace and he pulls back on them too much, but today he did everything right,' Yip said.
