Team Principal celebrates its first win in the Principal Standard League

The stage was set for a perfect ending, and the veteran made no mistake.

Principal player/coach Barry Beck blasted home a shot from the blue line with 3:43 left in overtime to defeat the NAB BushRangers 5-4 and secure its first win of the season.

The winning shot, capped an impressive performance by the team in which they held their opponents scoreless in the final 23:32 of regulation and erased 2 one-goal deficits and a two-goal deficit.

“I am proud of the fact that the team persevered and continued to play hard. They know you have to work hard from the start to finish no matter what the score” boasts Barry Beck. Everyone will now pick up their game and the intensity will rise.

Tying the score at four a piece with just over ten minutes left was Derek Hu who banged home a rebound on the right side.

“It was a great effort from everyone and we did not give up after we went down 3-1.  We stuck to the game plan from coach Barry Beck and we were able to take the game to OT”
