145 insider dealing complaints to CSRC

The China Securities Regulatory Commission has received 145 complaints this year about insider dealing, Tong Daochi, the CSRC's director general of international affairs, said at a meeting in Hong Kong. Enoch Yiu

 

US tax evasion law seen as problematic

The United States should find a better way to tackle tax evasion than the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, People's Bank of China deputy director general of legal affairs Liu Xiangmin said. "China's banking and tax laws and regulations do not allow Chinese financial institutions to comply with Fatca directly," he said. Reuters

 

US new home sales edge down in October

New US single-family home sales fell slightly last month, and September's pace of sales was revised sharply lower, casting a small shadow over what has been one of the brighter spots in the US economy. The commerce department said sales dropped 0.3 per cent last month to a seasonally adjusted 368,000-unit annual rate. Reuters
