What a surprise. The better educated and better off are better at scamming the system than less endowed counterparts who are looking for housing.

It was already apparent early last year with the release of survey results showing that more than half the waiting list for public rental housing is made up of already housed, well-educated young singles with good career prospects.

And now much the same turns out to be true in the application list for ballots for the renewed Home Ownership Scheme of subsidised sale housing.
