Chinese online retailer JD.com up in midday trade in New York

Shares in Chinese companies trading in the United States were mixed at noon in New York on Monday with e-commerce firm JD.com rising 3.19 per cent to US$25.50.  

The stock has slowly recovered since hitting a year-to-date low in early September.

Chinese search engine Qihoo 360 shares were up about 2 per cent to US$58.24 at noon on Monday.

The company’s shares have seen a strong rise over the past month.

Online travel company Qunar was down nearly 5 per cent by noon to US$46.19.

The company’s shares recently rallied after an announcement that it would swap shares with rival Ctrip.com.

Ctrip shares were up nearly 2 per cent at US$94.79.
