Tokyo stocks opened 1.36 per cent lower on Wednesday as concerns about the world economy continued to weigh on sentiment after the International Monetary Fund lowered its global growth forecasts. The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 119.04 points at 8,650.55 in opening trade.
