Hong Kong stocks climbed 0.46 per cent by lunch on Wednesday after US Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke soothed investor concerns the bank would end its monetary easing policy sooner then expected.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 104.40 points to 22,624.09 on turnover worth HK$32.79 billion (US$4.23 billion).
