Locustland | Recently denied state compensation, Tang Hui still demands an investigation into two police officers she claims raped her daughter in 2006
The two men her daughter was able to identify from among her many rapists, Tang says, are being protected by their police colleagues who refuse to launch an investigation.

Following the August 10 reversal, spurred by widespread public and media outrage, of her August 3 sentence in Hunan province last year, Tang was brought to the People's Supreme Court in Beijing on December 25 to make statements in death penalty review proceedings for her daughter's rapists.
Tang was previously awarded 200,000 yuan (HK$249,317) in compensation from those found guilty by the Yongzhou Intermediate People's Court in March 2010, a decision upheld by the provincial Supreme People's Court in February 2012.
Tang says she never met the investigators nor ever consulted regarding any evidence collected.
