Diner’s Diary | Tea-time treat: Lady M launches Earl Grey cake for IFC store opening

The Lady M cake-shop chain has opened its second Hong Kong store in IFC mall and has marked the occasion by launching a cake exclusive to Hong Kong: Earl Grey Mille Crepes.

It features 20 layers of thin crepes sandwiching whipped French pastry cream infused with Earl Grey tea leaves. It’s topped with a tea glaze, decorated with earl grey sprinkles and edible blue cornflowers, and has an evident tea fragrance.

You may have to be a dedicated Lady M fan, though, to shell out HK$750 for the nine-inch cake, or HK$75 a slice.

The Earl Grey Mille Crepes will be available at the brand’s IFC and Harbour City stores.
