From Monday August 20, the South China Morning Post and Sunday Morning Post will adopt a compact broadsheet format, in line with many broadsheets in the industry. Main section pages will retain their height but be slightly narrower. Tabloid and magazine pages will be slightly shorter.

This will not compromise the quality of our editorial and we will cover as many stories as before, although some will be more concise.

You'll also notice we've taken the opportunity to improve the format of the daily financial markets data in the Business section and have redesigned the daily TV guide in a more reader-friendly vertical format, in response to popular demand.
