The men and (mostly) women who underpin Hong Kong's households lost their longstanding battle for the same residency rights as other foreign workers. The Court of Final Appeal ruled against Filipinos Evangeline Vallejos and Daniel Domingo after their two-year struggle to be allowed permanent residency after more than 20 years of toil in the city.



The Bollywood superstar's past caught up with her as she and four other actors were told they would go on trial next month for hunting endangered antelope in 1998. Tabu, hot from her Hollywood debut in Ang Lee's Oscar-winning Life of Pi, faces up to six years in jail if found guilty at the trial in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan.



The broadcaster was blasted online after cutting away from a finely poised Hong Kong Sevens final with minutes to go - to show its regular news broadcast. With the score at 19-19 midway through the second half, TVB apologised onscreen to viewers and advised them to view the rest of the game on its website. Fiji eventually claimed the trophy, beating Wales 26-19 after being 19-0 down at half time.
