The star rugby union winger was invited to become the first Hong Kong representative to play for the Barbarians. The speedy wideman will line up alongside a host of international stars for high-profile games against England at Twickenham in May and the British Lions at Hong Kong Stadium in June.

The pub manager found himself in a panic when he realised that he was missing a bag containing HK$74,000 in cash as he got off a Yuen Long to Mong Kok bus. Fortunately, he came across good Samaritan Chan Chung-lam, who found the bag at a bus stop in Cheung Sha Wan. Chan was hailed as Hong Kong's most honest man after picking up the cash and taking it to police for Lin to collect.

 

George W. Bush

The former US president left office as one of the most unpopular ever. But the opening of his presidential library in Dallas this week offered ample opportunity for a reappraisal of Bush the person, if not the politician. Even his successor, Barack Obama, had warm words for the man he often lambasted on the campaign trail, praising him as an unpretentious "good man".
