Nadal only returned to the court in February after a seven-month lay-off, but overcame his fellow countryman David Ferrer in straight sets. Amazingly, Nadal has lost just one of his 60 singles matches on the Parisian clay.
It may be 30 years since her biggest hit Girls Just Want To Have Fun topped charts around the world, but the former pop star is still making music. The Broadway musical she scored, Kinky Boots, picked up six awards, including best score for Lauper's music, at the Tony awards in New York.
