Premier Li Keqiang will officiate at the opening of the China-Asean Expo in Guangxi's regional capital Nanning. While trade and investment are the focus of the four-day event, it's been the "was he or wasn't he" saga involving Philippine President Benigno Aquino that's so far made headlines. Chinese media had reported that Aquino would make a one-day visit to the fair, which has the Philippines as this year's "country of honour". But then Manila said Aquino had been asked by China to postpone his visit to a "more conducive time". China's Foreign Ministry then said Aquino was never invited in the first place. Relations between the nations have soured over territorial disputes in the South China Sea.
