The High Court declared Rafael Hui Si-yan bankrupt for failing to repay unspecified debts to the Bank of East Asia (BEA). Hui faces claims from five lenders, including BEA, which filed the bankruptcy petition in September.

The High Court declared the former chief secretary bankrupt for failing to repay unspecified debts to the Bank of East Asia (BEA). Hui, 65 - who is also involved in a corruption case with Sun Hung Kai Properties' co-chairmen Thomas Kwok Ping-kwong and Raymond Kwok Ping-luen - faces claims from five lenders, including BEA, which filed the bankruptcy petition in September.

 

Italy's ex-prime minister was expelled from the Senate.
