Lebanese former premier Rafiq Hariri

Four Hezbollah members go on trial in absentia at a UN-backed tribunal for the 2005 killing of Lebanese former premier Rafiq Hariri. The massive Beirut car bombing killed billionaire Hariri, a Sunni, leading to the exit of Syrian troops from Lebanon. Although the attack on Damascus-opponent Hariri was initially blamed on pro-Syrian Lebanese generals, the court in 2011 issued arrest warrants against four members of Syrian-backed Shiite movement Hezbollah.

Demonstrators will descend on an employment agency said to have brought an Indonesian domestic helper to Hong Kong where she was allegedly seriously injured by her employer. Erwiana Sulistyaningsih, 23, claims injuries to her legs, as well as cuts and burns all over her body, were inflicted by her employer. The protest is being organised by the Justice for Erwiana Committee.
