Representatives of the New People's Party and Civil Force hold a news conference to present their views on the future fuel mix for producing electricity in Hong Kong. A government consultation exercise on the issue closed yesterday. Officials presented two options: increasing power supply from the mainland and tripling gas-fired local generation. The government prefers the first option, while business tends to back the second.
