I was made aware by recent articles in your paper of the stealing of cash from cabin luggage on both inbound and outbound flights in Hong Kong. Thanks to this publicity, I have been removing all cash from my cabin luggage during flights.

Nevertheless, on April 13, while flying business class with Turkish Airlines from Hong Kong to Istanbul, a small purse – with two credit cards, and my Hong Kong identity card and driver’s licence – was removed from my cabin luggage. Unfortunately, neither the company nor anyone else could do anything.

I think that, despite the awareness raised by your newspaper, the problem persists or has escalated, so it might warrant some further publicity.
